Millions of Americans will cross 'structurally deficient' bridges this weekend
Fri May 24, 2013
I wonder how many that bridge was resurfaced. Every time it is done it reduces the overhead clearance. Do they take off the old surface or just cover it? Since a small portion of the trailer hit the overhead maybe resurfacing the road bed could have caused had something to do with the accident.

I read the speech that Obama made at the Chicago Democrat convention and thought it was very good. It sounded like he would make a good President. There is a Representative from Ohio who I feel is just as responsible for the problems we have. Just watch him when Obama is speaking before congress. Th …

Recent controversies threaten to bog down Obama's second-term agenda
Tue May 14, 2013
We can start by cleaning out the congress in 2014. It would be nice to see every congressman up for re-election loose his job. Then again in the next general election do the same thing for the senate. We limit the President to 2 terms. The same should be how the Congress should be run. Oh, all donat …
Mars rover Curiosity gets next target for drilling
Fri May 10, 2013
How many more people would be out of work if not for the Mars Rover program. There are many people involved in the project. I would rather see tax money spent on the Mars program than what is being spent on the Middle East battles. Not only money but wasted lives and permently injured service men an …
NRA's LaPierre: 'We will never surrender our guns'
Sat May 4, 2013
Wayne La Pierre reminds me of a little man back in the 30's&40's. That little man had hopes of ruling all of Europe. Mr La Pierre fighting to have every body armed. That little man's name was Adolph Hitler. While he disarmed the population, Mr. La Pierre is trying to arm every body. Hitler took …
Republican politicians pay tribute to NRA clout at annual meeting
Fri May 3, 2013
I don't get it. To drive a car or or run a fishing boat to earn a living you need a licence. To buy a weapon that will kill some one all you have to do is find a roving gun show and you can buy what you want, no licence is required. Whats wrong with this picture. To me something stinks.

Wed May 1, 2013
I had Polio at age 3. My parents were told My right leg would never support me and I would be using crutches the rest of my life. The therapist at the hospital said he would have me walking without crutches or he would pay the hospital bill. Today at age 87 I have have a near normal life as possible …
Uncle: Mentors 'radicalized' older Boston bombing suspect
Sat Apr 20, 2013
Lets go back to what it was in he 1800's. My great grand parents came here from Germany. They spent 6 weeks in confinement being investigated and they were examined to find any health problems they may had have. Its time to make harder for people to get in the USA.
Boston bombing spurs Senate debate on tighter immigration screening
Fri Apr 19, 2013
These young men came here years ago to find a better life. As I understand it the younger was in his mid to late teens. Were there any back ground checks. Did anyone wonder if they were trouble makers? A person can be asked if he intends to blow up a building. If he has any ill feelings about this …

I don't like the trend, but I'm not going to fight a battle over it, so yes... reluctantly.
